Luobu’s Drone-Grade Monopotassium Phosphate Selected Among China’s Top 100 Major Agricultural Science and Technology Achievements
Shifang, Sichuan – January 19, 2026
Sichuan Luobu New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based manufacturer of Drone-Grade Monopotassium Phosphate (MKP), has been officially recognized in the list of the Top 100 Major Agricultural Science and Technology Achievements of 2023.
The announcement was made during the Third National Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Conference, jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), the Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government.
The recognition places Luobu’s proprietary Drone-Grade MKP among the most impactful agricultural innovations released nationwide that year.

A Technical Milestone in Agricultural Drone Fertilization
As agricultural drone application continues expanding across large-scale field crops and high-value economic crops, fertilizer compatibility has become a critical performance factor. Traditional monopotassium phosphate products were originally developed for irrigation or ground spraying systems. When applied in UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) spraying environments, many conventional MKP fertilizers may present challenges such as incomplete dissolution, sediment formation, or nozzle blockage.
Sichuan Luobu addressed this gap by developing a Drone-Grade Monopotassium Phosphate specifically engineered for aerial spraying systems.
The product was independently developed and industrialized by the company, with a focus on:
- Rapid dissolution under low temperature conditions
- Stability in high-concentration tank mixes
- Minimal insoluble residue
- Uniform particle size distribution
- Reduced caking during storage
These features are particularly relevant for drone spraying operations where solution clarity and spray consistency directly affect application efficiency.

Recognition as a Patent-Intensive Product
In addition to its selection among the Top 100 Achievements, Luobu’s Drone-Grade MKP has also received formal recognition as a Patent-Intensive Product in China.
On February 8, 2025, Patent Protection Association of China published the official 2024 Patent-Intensive Product List, confirming that Luobu’s Drone-Grade Monopotassium Phosphate met the evaluation standards.
A patent-intensive product is defined as one whose market competitiveness is primarily supported by patented technologies. Currently, the company holds eight patents related to fertilizer formulation and dissolution performance optimization.
The development of Drone-Grade MKP has progressed through three technical generations, reflecting continuous improvement based on field application feedback and production optimization.

Responding to Structural Changes in Modern Farming
Drone-based crop protection and nutrient application have become standard practice in many agricultural regions. This shift has introduced new performance expectations for phosphate fertilizers.
Industry practice shows that aerial spraying systems require fertilizers with higher dissolution efficiency and stricter insoluble content control compared to conventional irrigation-grade materials.
By focusing on application compatibility rather than solely nutrient composition, Sichuan Luobu positioned Drone-Grade MKP as a specialized solution within the broader MKP fertilizer category.
The product has since been adopted in large-scale farming operations where aerial efficiency, operational stability, and reduced maintenance risks are essential.
Strengthening Application-Oriented Fertilizer Development
The inclusion of Drone-Grade MKP in the national Top 100 list reflects a broader transition within fertilizer innovation—from nutrient formulation alone toward application performance engineering.
As agricultural mechanization and precision farming technologies continue evolving, compatibility between fertilizer materials and equipment systems is becoming increasingly important.
Sichuan Luobu’s recognition signals a step forward in aligning phosphate fertilizer development with operational realities in modern agriculture.
