Product innovation must start from real problems and pain points, creating value and market opportunities by solving those problems.
Sichuan Luobu is exactly that kind of innovative company. Focusing on the application pain points and scenarios of MKP, we continuously iterate and innovate our product technology. We pioneered the new category of drone‑grade MKP, and our technology has now evolved to the third generation, with the fourth generation soon to be launched. In the field of drone‑grade PK fertilizer, we are committed to going deep, thorough, and large‑scale.
The 2026 CIS International Special Fertilizer Development Conference will be held in Qingdao from May 13 to 15. Sichuan Luobu New Material Technology Co., Ltd., as a leading full‑brand manufacturer of drone‑grade MKP in the industry, is a strong co‑organizer of this CIS event. We will not only exhibit our industry‑leading drone‑grade MKP, but our technical experts will also share a presentation on "Phosphorus and Potassium Innovation for High‑Temperature Aerial Application Scenarios" – definitely not to be missed. Here, we also hear from Zhang Xuan, Chairman of Sichuan Luobu, on his views regarding the innovation and development of the special fertilizer category.
Agriculture & Market: I
n your opinion, what are the current
pain points and market opportunities for the special fertilizer category?
Zhang Xuan, Sichuan Luobu: Pain points:
First, many so‑called "special fertilizers" are not really special – they are still general‑purpose fertilizers, just repackaged and rebranded. They don't solve real problems, so the only outcome is price wars and involution.
Second, they still rely on channel push rather than proven results. Distribution, inventory loading, and relationships still dominate the game. There are very few products that truly win by application‑based results and generate repeat purchases.
Market opportunities:
First, demand is always there, but it has changed. In the past, "anything could sell." Today, whoever solves a problem gets the chance.
Second, going global must happen early – it's not optional, it's necessary. Competition at home is getting fiercer, but products with real differentiation and application value still have room overseas. The first mover gets the position.
Agriculture & Market: What is Sichuan Luobu's core focus in the special fertilizer sector?
Zhang Xuan, Sichuan Luobu:
Internally, we keep it very simple – just two things:
1
Build products around problems. What truly sets you apart is which problem you solve. That is what customers really care about.
2
Make it scalable. Many special fertilizers stay niche and small‑batch. We place greater emphasis on the ability to scale – a product must be replicable and able to reach volume to truly form a market.
At Sichuan Luobu, we don't pursue a wide range of products. Instead, we focus on doing one category – drone‑grade MKP – deep, thorough, and large.
Agriculture & Market: What are Sichuan Luobu's core competitive advantages?
Zhang Xuan, Sichuan Luobu:
Core product:Drone‑grade MKP, specifically designed for agricultural drone application scenarios.
Core advantages:
First, we pioneered the new category of drone‑grade MKP. Our technology has reached the third generation, leading the entire industry by one and a half generations, and we are now moving toward the fourth generation.
Second, scalability – we can not only make it, but also produce it in volume. This is the prerequisite for market adoption.
We do not dabble in generalized special fertilizers. In the agricultural drone scenario, we refine, specialize, and thoroughly develop drone‑grade PK fertilizer.
Agriculture & Market: The theme of this special fertilizer conference is "Structural Optimization, Growth Restructuring". How do you interpret this theme, and how does your company plan to achieve growth restructuring?
Zhang Xuan, Sichuan Luobu:
Our understanding is that it's not simply about getting bigger, but about changing the way you grow.
Structural optimization essentially means aligning your products and markets correctly. Shift from generic products to those with specific scenarios, technical barriers, and problem‑solving ability. Shift from scattering efforts across broad markets to focusing on regions and crops.
Growth restructuring essentially means building up your capabilities. Our approach is also very simple:
1
Product structure restructuring: Focus wholeheartedly on the drone‑grade category, with undivided attention. Continue increasing investment, study fertilizer application problems in drone usage scenarios, let problems guide R&D, and let R&D drive product upgrades and iterations.
2
Market structure restructuring: Pursue both domestic and international channels, and prepare for going global ahead of time.
May 13–15, Sichuan Luobu sincerely invites you to gather in Qingdao for the 2026 CIS International Special Fertilizer Development Conference!
